This is an award to acknowledge the contribution made by the senior engineers in the Sri Lankan community in South Australia
Mr. Darshan Parakrama Ediriweera is a chartered engineer. He completed his BSc degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Masters in Physics and Electronics.
During his 50 years of an engineering career in Sri Lanka, Uk and Australia, he has significantly contributed to the field of engineering.
Some significant contributions are the introduction of the Planetary Position Slide rule – a new rule to find Lagna and a new rule to find the moment of inertia of a prism and a special three-wheeler for Sri Lanka. He has also published several research articles and two books. He has certainly been an inspiration for the Adelaideans.
